USA - Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) France - CESAP The CESAP (Committee for the Study, Education and Care of persons with multiple disabilities) founded in 1965 and recognised as a “public utility” association serving persons with multiple disabilities asserts three basic principles: - the uniqueness and individuality of persons with multiple disabilitiesn, - the right, for their dignity, to education, social life and care, - the need to mobilize competent expertise in their support. CESAP Training Documentation Resources which proposes that all those concerned about the care of persons with multiple disabilities should become better informed and improved, has itself become interested in the Pikler approach. It committed itself to examining the relevance of this approach. The result of this examination is the document entitled “The Emmi Pikler approach as applied to the care of persons with multiple disabilities” published by CESAP Formation Documentation Resources in 2008.
